Positive Thinking Books for Powerful Reading

Positive thinking books can be powerful reading material. Positive thinking is a healthy mental attitude that allows the mind to form thoughts and images that lead to growth and success. People who think positive only expect positive things in life.

Seriously, can it really be that simple? Many people do not believe in the power of positive thinking. They consider it to be nonsense, or just something happy-go-lucky people spout about. How irritating is it when you’re feeling down and out and some happy fool tells you to “think positive?”

On the other hand, positive thinking has gained popularity with the many positive thinking books written and the seminars taught on the subject. Self-made millionaires swear by positive thinking, self-confidence and self-esteem. Do they think positive because they are successful or are they successful because they think positive?

How does it work?

People who think positive project a better image than those who have a negative attitude. Those who have high self-esteem and self-confidence appear to be qualified and capable.

People with a negative attitude appear to be tense and distracted. They do not make a good impression on others. They may even appear to be lazy or dishonest.

Positive thinking releases good energy. People are more attracted to those who think positive thoughts than those who are constantly complaining about all the negative things going on in their life.

Sure you will feel sad when you lose a loved one; frustrated when finances are tight or disappointed when your child misbehaves at school. Know that these feelings are normal while you remind yourself that things will get better. Time heals the grieving heart; debts can be negotiated and payment arrangements can be made; your child is not much different than you were at that age.

So, I ask again, is it really that simple? Yes and no. Yes, you will be in a healthier state of mind when you think positive. No, just saying “I’m going to get rich” will not automatically make you rich.

No matter what your circumstances are when you replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts you will get good results. Positive thinking leads to positive planning and positive actions. Negative thinking leads to giving up.
